A Day in the Life of one Artist

These are some sketchbook pages from earlier in the week. There are many pages with the tulip ideas. I like the sketches better than I like some of the paintings. They have an immediacy that I can’t always get in the painting. A painting of three tulips I finished earlier in the week is lifeless. In the next few days, I’ll post some paintings I like that I’ve done since the first of the year.
